11 Stadiums. 4 Guys. 1 Goal (How cliche is that line?).
During the 2009 season, a group of us will travel to all 11 BIG TEN stadiums to watch a game, experience the campus, and soak in the atmosphere of college football Saturdays.
Beginning Labor Day weekend, we will travel to visit every team, for 11 consecutive weekends - while holding full-time jobs. Then to top it off, we'll make every attempt to attend the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day in Pasadena, California.
Based in Milwaukeee, Wisconsin, we've all recently graduated from colleges across the Midwest & clearly aren't too financially stable. We're not really qualified to run a blog either...None of us have any formal background in photography, writing, or computer technology. As opposed to some of the blogs you've read in the past, we're not just going to report the color of the seats and how long it took to get there. We plan on dominating at tailgating games, overcooking hamburgers, talking trash with the fans, closing out the local watering hole, & throwing in some other surprises along the way!
Well, we've got a variety of answers, but we'll stick to the following:
The company that is generous enough to employ us operates retail stores in every BIG TEN market & it would be nice to get to know these regions a little better (on our own dime). Our co-workers primarily come from BIG TEN schools and rave about the football experience, so it's time to validate their claims.
We've spent the majority of our lives living in 'BIG TEN country,' so it is time to get to know our own backyards a little better.
Finally, all we hear in the news are these negative stories about the state of the economy, Michael Jackson's death, Brett Favre, and the war...it's time for some fun stories, some entertainment, and some football!
