Indianapolis Colts
Prior to the Colts game, it was only natural to stand among a bunch of people in blue and white clothing and have a Bloody Mary or a few beers. One of the bars near the stadium had some swings and a bunch of over-priced drinks. The view for people-watching however was unparalleled. You could see the Colts fan who was knocking on death's door, the Colts fan in the stroller, the Colts fan who really needs to buy a belt, the Colts fan who must've paid thousands of dollars for cosmetic surgery, the Colts fan wasting money on cheap/tacky necklaces, and the first-time Colts fan who didn't know what the hell was going on.
When I look back at these photos and notice that I got rather tan over the weekend. I can't tell you how great it was to have nothing but sun and 60 degree temperatures in early November.

So there was Lucas-Oil Stadium, which is now being called "The Oil Can." A massive structure that must be a welcomed sight for anyone who ever went to the RCA Dome. There were plenty of scalpers out front and approximately $90.00 later, I was able to get in the door.
The "lobby" was amazing and the roar of the crowd was deafening when we stepped inside. Dan and I hung out in the lobby for a bit before hiking to our seats. We talked with some of the United States soldiers and I bumped one of them, forcing him to spill his beer all over himself. I of course bought him another and then posed for a photo.

The great weather allowed for an open roof and we saw many of the banners flapping in the wind. It seemed as if 90% of the banners came from the last 5-10 years.
As we walked the upper concourse, we found that it was just as busy as any other area of the stadium. At one end of the stadium, you can look out the windows and get a phenomenal view of the Indianapolis skyline.

Sitting right in front of us were two interesting kids. Throughout the game, all we heard was hip-hop music and the guy sitting directly in front of me really enjoyed busting out some sweet dance moves (video below). You can view more of his dance moves here, here, and here. His friend, wearing the Reggie Wayne jersey was just as awesome. At one point during the game, he pulls out his cell phone and text messages someone...could be a girl, a guy, or a pet...and types "I love you so much that I can not stand it." Hey buddy, you're caught up in a huge game, a close game, if you're not tweeting about how everyone should be jealous of how awesome you are, keep the phone in your pocket.
At halftime, I decided that it was time for a meal. The footlong hot dog seemed appropriate, but I didn't know that when you purchased this, you only got a 6 inch bun?!?!
So in case you haven't been watching the standing, the Houston Texans have become a pretty darn good team & at the time, this game was a big divisional matchup.
In the first half, Peyton Manning threw a whopping 40 passes and lead the Colts to a 13-3 lead. It appeared as if the Colts would roll to their 14th win in 15 games against the Texans. Houston battled back in the second half, scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions to take the lead. Joseph Addai put the Colts back on top with a touchdown run midway through the 4th quarter.
The Texans got the ball back with less than 2 minutes remaing and Matt Schaub led a drive down to the Colts 24 yard line. Everyone pretty much accepted overtime as Kris Brown lined up to kick a 42 yard field goal (after making a 56 yard try in the first half). The kick went wide left and the Colts remained undefeated!
