Purdue Revisited
In case you haven't read the Purdue installment just yet, we had a really really good time at Purdue. In the subsequent weeks following our visit, we continued to experience some of the Purdue traditions, so why not show them here?
Boilermaker Special
As I was leaving the Wisconsin/Purdue game, I looked down from the upper concourse and spotted the truck/train that I had tried to see while in West Lafayette! It is called the "Boilermaker Special."
I spoke with the driver and he actually drives this thing from Purdue to all of the away games. Just imagine driving down the highway and seeing this thing beside you?!?!

Harry's Chocolate Shop

Front of Harry's Chocolate Shop
As I was researching our route to Indianapolis, I saw that we once again would drive through West Lafayette. So, in redemption for the "drive home early for no good reason" that ripped me of my opportunity to see all of Purdue, I decided that we should stop in at Harry's for some lunch.
The place was loaded with all kinds of Purdue sports memorabilia. The walls had all sorts of writing all over them, the urinals were filled with ice (still don't understand that one), there were Time Out chairs, but I really didn't notice much chocolate!
We were told to have the Long Island Iced Teas here...they were pretty average. The menu however was loaded with all sorts of great food, with everything from mini-pizzas to the beef sub you see below.
We had originally intended on stopping at Bruno's to try some of the famous pizza, but turns out that the joint did not open until 4 PM. Looks like yet another return trip is on the horizon!
