Beverly Hills (and Other)
Among all of the other sights in Los Angeles, I couldn't seem to fit in a few photos of Beverly Hills. My time here was filled with me stating, "Wow, I can't afford that," or "Wow, I REALLY can't afford that."
While I wish I could've spent the night at the Beverly Hills hotel, but I am much more intrigued by the surprises of an "under $60 a night" hotels.
I can't image the taxes that the residents pay in Beverly Hills as the Police Station looks more like an elaborate convention center.
There is so much to see at the San Diego Zoo that I thought I'd throw in a few more photos; just in case your a bear or panther fan and felt a little empty without them on the other pages.

'Animal-style' Burger and Fries
If you're in California, be sure to try out IN-N-OUT Burger. It's one of the few fast food chains to not load its food with a ton of perservatives. The potatoes are fresh-cut in front of you, the meat is never frozen, and the employees are paid well. You can only get IN-N-OUT in the states of California, Neveda, Utah, and Arizona. While there are only 3-4 things on the menu, research the "secret menu" and you'll find some interesting options.

Your wasted gas straight to the Pacific
I snapped this photo while at a gas station in southern California. The drain between 2 gas pumps, reads "No Dumping - Drains to Ocean." Wow, that's great, all of the gas, car fluids, and whatever else that you commonly see on the ground at the gas stations drains right to your ocean. Makes you want to go for a swim?
Ah yes, no tourist visit Los Angeles without commenting on the smog! The smog was relatively mild during our stay compared to previous visits, and maybe it is because of these SMOG Checks.

Bud, Weis, Er
I spotted these friendly lizards while in San Diego on the waterfront. A few hours later, while watching the local news, we heard that the lizards in Florida were literally freezing and falling from trees in Florida as the state and Orange Bowl were experiencing record cold temperatures.
Ah, the many cultures of LA. I can't imagine that Crown Royal has too many Chinese billboards in Amercia. Or is it Korean? Japanese? Who cares, I see the bottle and that's good enough for me.
The crime in L.A. has caused the bik rack to evolve a little bit. Here, you'll see mini lockers to store your bike in. While it takes up a little more space, it's more likely that your front tire or flashing reflectors will still be there when you return.
Throughout your stay, you'll likely see the names of many places notable from one of the many, many bad shows on MTV. While many of the places are wonderful, some of the television characters have made me more inclined to stay far, far away.
Literally around every corner, you find something new and interesting. I made a wrong turn and voila, there's Paramount Studios.

The floor is on floor #3
At our hotel in El Segundo, also known as "the city right by the airport" we stayed at a rather interesting hotel. Our elevator gave us the choice of floors "1,2,4 and 5." Of course, I was looking for floor #3.
Best marketing I saw during the whole trip. Somewhere near downtown LA, Chris Nam purchased the back of this bus stop bench. Of course, the graffiti artists need to tag everything humanly possible, but my attention was diverted to the message on the ad. "Everything I touch, turns to SOLD!" In younger years, I would be very tempted to call that number.
While this appears to be just another miserable moment in Los Angeles traffic, I was really trying to capture the sign from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This old joint is the only place to host the Olympics TWICE. It has hosted Super Bowls, the World Series, and is current home to the USC Trojan football team. Will it ever host a NFL once again? Regardless, it needs to change that video board that looks like it was installed in the 1960's.
On a Sunday night, the traffic halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles was pretty intense. It's better to avoid any rush hour possible.

Rental Share Odometer
When the "most disguisting rental car on earth" was returned, it had over 1,300 miles on it. Being that it was a Chevrolet Aveo, I'm guessing that it had about 3,000 miles left in the life of the car.
